Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RideDataOverlay (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

RideDataOverlay lets you overlay cycling telemetry (from FIT or GPX files) on video in your browser. Core processing runs locally on your device.

An account is required. Import, sync, and preview are available on the free tier after sign-in. Export requires an active Pro subscription (including any free trial). Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You retain ownership of your videos, telemetry files, and exports. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use and process any content you import.

We do not claim ownership of your files. Because processing is local, you are responsible for backups and for compliance with laws that apply to your content (including privacy of others appearing in your footage).

Some features require a Clerk account. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, or legal requirements.

RideDataOverlay requires Pro for export. Import, sync, and preview are free after sign-in.

Launch subscription prices: $6 per month or $49 per year, billed through Stripe while launch pricing is active. Regular list prices after launch: $12 per month or $100 per year. A one-time 7-day trial may be offered to new subscribers at checkout. After the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the selected price unless you cancel before the trial ends. Existing subscribers keep their checkout price until they cancel, as managed by Stripe.

Founding Lifetime Pro is offered as a limited one-time purchase (currently capped at 200 customers) at $49 USD. Lifetime access covers Pro-tier features available at the time of purchase and future Pro-tier updates; separate paid tiers added later are not included unless stated otherwise.

You can cancel subscriptions anytime from Manage subscription on the pricing page, which opens Stripe's Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated in the portal. Prices may change; existing subscribers will be notified as required by Stripe and applicable law.

Refunds are handled according to Stripe policies and applicable law unless we state otherwise.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions authorize recurring charges for your chosen billing period. Lifetime Pro is a one-time charge.

Card and bank statements may show a descriptor such as "RIDEDATAOVERLAY". If subscription payment fails, Pro features may be revoked until payment succeeds. Taxes may apply based on your location.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights • Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service • Circumvent subscription or access controls • Upload malware or abuse sign-in, checkout, or support channels

We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Video encoding depends on your browser and hardware. Export quality, codec support, and performance may vary. We do not warrant that exports will be bit-identical to source files.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access with or without notice if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of RideDataOverlay is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
